Evermore

Evermore is a large,vibrant modern painting featuring a wide selection of colours and shapes. At the heart of this rich, dramatic artowrk is a sublime purple and rich blue. These two colors form the backbone to which all the other ones reference to.

The main technique used is a fluid and flowing one – this is  where a slightly thinned version of the ename paint is poured into small rivers and then allowed to move organically.

Over and above that basic premise goes the skill bit. This is where I step in and coax the paint to flow where I want it to flow and mix with the additonal colors as they are applied.

On closer inspection you can clearly see the use of a bright metallic gold which sits at the yellow end of the spectrum. This is a new color I am using and one that is yielding some fantastic results. It’s especially prominent where I use aqua and turquoise.

Reminds me of…

There is, for me at least, a cursory nod to the worlds’ oceans when I look at this. I can insantly feel the power of ocean currents and swells and imagine myself on a shoreline somewhere watching the tide coming in.

And then there is the astonishng complexity that this origial modern art masterpiece features. It’s quite astounding just how small these details go and it’s something you really have to see with your own eyes to fully grasp.

Some of the paint blending on the flows are spellbinding and will keep revealing themselves for a lifetime. This is a definitely a painting that will always be giving back to you.
