Pre-stretched artists canvases
I can make almost any size of canvas you want, made-to measure from 40cm up to 800cm.

My facilities can cope with almost any size and shape of canvas. I use a medium weave, 420gsm (16oz) cotton canvas which is pre-primed at source. This is suitable for most types of paints and subject matter.
The stretcher bars I use are sustainable European softwoods with an ultra-low moisture content (minimizing warping) made from a 44mm square profile. As they are floating frames they have corner wedges used for tensioning – ensuring an even canvas tightness.
These specifications are exactly the same as all my own original paintings so I’m giving you a quality to match my own.
All canvases come pre-primed so there is no need to use Gesso or any preparatory surface treatments – just open your paints and start painting. All my canvases are suitable for acrylic, oil and solvent-based paints. All staples are fixed to the reverse so the edges are perfect and the corners are folded in the traditional gallery style.
Need a canvas quickly? No problem. Most canvases can be made and be ready for collection within 48hours if required*. There’s no minimum order either. Canvases over 300cm on any side will need seven to ten days to make as they require a set of special alloy support channels to be fabricated.
Due to the quality and nature of my hand-made canvases I refuse to send them with a courier company. You’ll therefore need to organize your own collection. If you struggle to arrange this you can try Anyvan.com and find a local service that will pick them up for you. They will be individually wrapped in anti-static packing foam and taped accordingly.
*(except sizes over 300cm and round or unusual shapes – see below)
Almost any shape can be made into a canvas for painting. Circular ones will require a lead time of four weeks minimum as will any other specific shape.
This service is carried out by a company I highly recommend and are the people who make them for Damien Hirst so you can be assured of a quality like no other.
Please get in touch if you have a specific request for a non-standard shape.
