Who am I?
Hi there! My name is Ed, and I’m a UK-based artist from Gloucestershire. Although Swarez isn’t my real name, it’s a nickname that I’ve kept for years because it fits so well. And believe it or not, 15 years ago, I was delivering parcels for a living.
But with a small idea and big dreams, I’ve been able to turn my passion for art into a successful career. If you’re interested, you can learn more about my backstory.
What I do
I specialize in creating one-of-a-kind, original paintings that are meticulously crafted and filled with a level of honesty that is hard to come by in today’s disposable, money-grabbing marketplace. I’m proud to say that everything you see on this website, from every paint stroke to every photograph, is done by me.
And, in response to popular demand, I’ve recently launched an incredible range of limited-edition prints. Thankfully, I’m now able to employ the services of my best friend Adrian, who works alongside me taking care of material technologies, quality control, and installation logistics. I still make the coffee though!
How I do it
I work incredibly hard, every day. I believe that you can’t achieve something great if you sit on your butt all day waiting for stuff to happen. That’s why I pour my energy and determination into my craft, never settling for second best.
When you buy one of my pieces you get the full experience, not some corporate sales pitch. I’ve built my own modern art gallery with my own bare hands, and it’s a brilliant space that I’d love for you to visit if you’re ever in the area.
Accessible, affordable art – without the BS!
I’m challenging the elitist, oppressive, and often-ridiculous art-purchasing standards set by galleries, critics, and the media. I don’t rely on anyone but myself, and I don’t need to show with a gallery to get my work out there.
Many art websites and galleries you visit will be selling unimaginative, dreary commercial rubbish. I take a different approach by explaining what’s going on in each painting in simple terms, without resorting to flowery words or deep conceptual holes. Your journey into buying art should be enjoyable and hassle-free, and that’s what I aim to deliver.
Falling victim to fads and fashions or being pigeonholed into one particular style is not something that ever appears on my radar. I paint what I want to paint, without worrying about mass-market appeal. My love of colour is evident in all my pieces, and I have a knack for creating and controlling shapes and forms that come together in spectacular finished works.
If you’re looking for something that celebrates your individuality, drop me a line, and let’s create something unforgettable. Still not convinced? Check out these 10 reasons to buy my work and see if you feel any different.
Work hard; reward yourself
Life is too short to compromise on the things you’re passionate about. You work hard for the things you want in life, and your art should be no different.
Take a stand, challenge yourself and call me now. Don’t worry about your soft furnishings; let the painting speak to you, and redecorate around it if you have to. I do some pretty extraordinary things with paint and canvas, and I’d love to create something unique for you.
Meet Adrian
Adrian is my best friend and business partner. We’ve been through a lot together since he came to work with me 10 years ago. His ability to figure things out and apply practical solutions is truly extraordinary.
No matter what challenge I’m facing, Ady always comes up with an answer. Whether you visit our gallery or find us in your clients’ homes, he is always there.
A Rare Dynamic: The Passion and Care We Share
It’s rare to find someone who is as passionate about what you do as you are, and even rarer to find that person among your closest friends. But somehow, Ady and I have found an unparalleled dynamic that suits what we do very well. I am enormously proud of him, and I hope he knows it (although I won’t tell him too often, or he might get a bit ahead of himself!)
Attention to Detail: A Brilliant Quality for Our Line of Work
Ady’s attention to detail verges on the obsessive, but in our line of work, it’s an absolute gift. His commitment and desire to bring the finest quality original art into our clients’ homes is unmatched. If his qualities as a human being could be bottled and sold, I could have retired long ago!
Our passion for our work and the care we share for our clients has made our partnership one that I value more than words can express. Here’s to another 20 years of success, laughter, and friendship!
