A very big, bright, multi-coloured abstract art painting.
What more do you want in an abstract painting than bags of colour, exploding shapes and a sense of occasion? You want some bright happy things in your world don’t you? Good well bring on the day…
This combination of bold colours and defined shapes conveys an enormous feeling of contentment whenever I look at it. Whether you see it as a rip in the fabric of space-time, a giant rainbow centipede or human chakras this delightfully uplifting and joyful painting is as light and uncomplicated as I ever create.
Named after the 12 sections or ‘zones’ the colours have been carefully balanced and proportioned to offset each other without the need for heaviness. I like the movement and radiating energies that effortlessly bounce from the centre of the painting.
This very bright and very large piece of original multi-coloured art is for sale; painted in enamel paints onto a flat piece of Italian canvas. It was covered with primer (three coats) before I started painting it. More than 8 litres of paint was used to create him; when dry he was stretched around a seasoned timber frame made from Dutch hardwoods with all staples on the reverse.
The result is a hand-made piece of art that stretches all the way around the edges. Signed on the reverse by me. The last process was to use a stretching glue on the reverse to chemically tighten the weave density in the canvas so that the painting is as tight as it can be.
