Well this is a very happy thing! Blooms is a small sized abstract painting that was created with a number of brightly coloured enamel paints and then spun round on my spin table to achieve the effect you see in the photos. It’s one of the most uplifting paintings I have done for a long time and I am thrilled with how it turned out.

The finish lies somewhere between high gloss and semi-gloss (it’s more of a sheen I think) and the canvas stretches all the way around the edges of the 45mm profile wooden frame. I have no doubt this is going to add a ray of light wherever it gets hung and I am certain it will lift the mood of any space it hangs in. The paint literally ‘blooms’ out in a radial pattern – not too dissimilar to a clock dial in my opinion.
