The water and the oceans
Atlantica 2 is an original contemporary painting created with a series of paint movements an applications fused into a white and cream base layer. The giant swathe of Swarez blue (yes, that’s my own colour blue that only I have) dominates the painting but in a good way. With it shifted to one side it paves the way for all the supporting tones and movements around it to shine. The result is a very confident and mature artwork that poses as many questions as it gives answers.
The painting is approximately 700mm square.
The art work is finished with a 2mm mount that’s set inside a laser-cut aluminium frame. This gets covered with a Plexiglass (acrylic) front (a high quality PVC alternative to glass). This can be removed if you wish. The canvas is mounted to a 6mm aluminium base so it’s got some real substance to it.
