This serene, relaxing painting is a bit of a departure for me. Unusually, in place of my normal enamel paints, I have used alcohol inks. They’re a new material to me but one I am enjoying immensely.

In Evening Bliss I have used a selection of colours and formed them into small, muted forms that flow into each other. These sit atop a base coast of off-white enamel paint. What I love abut this is how gentle everything feels, no matter whch way up you hang it. And, as an added bonus, I have inlcuded a metallic copper ink to a few key places.

This adds just the right amount of ‘ooh’ and is especially noticeable when the light hits it in a certain way. It’s a little seam of pizazz amidst a calming sea of peace and quiet.
