Dark Energy is a small abstract painting that’s filled with deep, dark tones and a thousand details. It’s essentially a black and white (monochrome) painting with the addition of a few complimentary colours thrown in for good measure. Look closely and you’ll find purple, lilac, green, gold and orange. These are the subtle notes that really help to offset the dominance of the black and white mass.

Those two elemental colours have been put to good use with a series of soft blends and abrupt twists. The use of a number of tools has helped create an abstract that’s full of movement and energy – something that can be hard to do on such a small piece of canvas. I am well practiced in my craft though so I can get this sort of finish on smaller surface areas; proving you don’t need big bucks or a big wall to enjoy a little Swarez magic.
