There are so many shapes in here it’s impossible to pick them all out. More than anything though this original artwork is all about colour. In fact the shaping is not complicated (like so many of the others) so it’s not difficult to live with or particularly challenging.
Where this painting succeeds is in its bold and unashamed richness of colours and tones. Whether you see a wizard’s face, mountain ranges or flower beds you cannot deny the sheer presence of this huge painting.
It’s a dominator for sure but thankfully it’s not one to grab your throat and squeeze.
This big size piece original red coloured art is for sale; painted with acrylic paints onto a flat piece of Italian canvas. It was covered with primer (three coats) before I started painting it.
When dry he was stretched around a seasoned timber frame with all staples on the reverse. The result is a hand-made piece of art that stretches all the way around the edges. Signed on the reverse by me.
The last process was to use a stretching glue on the reverse to chemically tighten the weave density in the canvas so that the painting is as tight as it can be. Two coats of UV resistant varnish have also been applied.
