Infinite Light is a brightly colored abstract painting created with a carefully selected series of enamel paints. I use these exclusively as they are simply exquisite and give a finish like no other paint you will ever see. This original is full of grand movements, rich lustre and astonishing details
I can’t think of a better way to celebrate the gift of life than with something bright and uplifting. Let’s face it, the world can be quite a dark and miserable place sometimes and it is my intention to try as hard as i can to put some colour back into it. You can choose to do the same with a painting like this. And sure, I know it’s a big canvas to accommodate so you’ll likely need a large wall and some space around i. If that’s a box you can tick I guarantee you will be rewarded a million times over.
I made a video of the whole painting being made which you can watch below on YouTube. The canvas was laid flat to begin with and the first waves of paint were applied with a wide window squeegee. After getting a base I was happy with I moved on to the grand gestures that make up the top layers. These are a combination red, orange, burgundy, blue and lime green. There’s also a touch of black in there too just to add a little grounding to the painting.
It’s a vibrant array of color choices and they suit the mainly green base brilliantly. For me it take son an organic feel as if I were in the middle of palm tress or a richly planted coastal garden somewhere warm and tropical.
Textures are also prevalent here with a tactile shift between the back and front layers. Large paint volumes rise proudly to catch light on their edges whilst the extremes of gloss and matt paint play with the way we see light interacting. It’s a wonderful thing to be stood in front of.
Drop me a line and I will get back to you as soon as is humanly possible!
