One collector and one house.
Everything in Dubai is on a big scale so the need to fill a palatial home with light and colour meant that this collection of originals also needed to be big too. A nine month project that now hangs in one of the most exclusive and desirable postcodes in the city.
Big walls need big art and in this case there were many, many walls. All of them crying out for some selectively chosen originals. Here are a few random photos of the work as it was being hung. Corridors, bedrooms, living spaces, games room.
All shapes, all sizes and all colours. There wasn’t a style or combination I didn’t take over!
All canvases were painted here in the UK and once a date was fixed with the client I shipped everything over in a 20ft container and flew out to oversee the installation.
I was there, with my colleague, for a week doing the hanging.
Thank goodness for air conditioning.
